The Southside Garden is located on the north end of the Westside Orchard Garden, 410 16th St. SW. Their mission is to improve the dietary intake of the food insecure.
The garden grows and distributes fresh produce, educates and provides opportunities to exercise. This project has a large-scale raised-bed garden complex, a greenhouse and other amenities to enhance the environmental health of the neighborhood.
The SSG will also promote an education program emphasizing the importance of “Farm to Table” concepts, composting and recycling.
